In less than a week, I will no longer be working in Aviation. I have had so many irons in the fire, for so many years, that Aviation has become a obstacle to my personal growth.
Now I have the business, Da Vinci Photo Studios, up and running. I feel like I am accomplishing something real. So many opportunities have opened, it feels like I have been living with blinders on, focusing on how much I could earn per hour rather than what I could create.
I am preparing for my motorcycle trip across the United States. Plenty of photos will be born out of that adventure. The important thing, however, that will come from the trip, is the Widow's Sons Masonic Riders Association book that I will write while I am on my journey.
Several brothers have come forward to invite me to their area. They say they have stories of the road at the ready. We will focus on Masonic History in their area, what events they sponsor on a regular basis, and the history of their specific chapter.
I am also forming a new chapter here in Washington State. The buildup of which will be used as a cookie-cutter diagram of how to build a chapter with the Widow's Sons through the proper channels. I am tentatively naming that portion of the book: Appendix B. I'm not sure what Appendix A will be yet, maybe the packing list and things that go into the planning of such a large trip. I have been on several overnighters before, but the idea of being on a motorcycle trip for six months is quite daunting!
So, keep an eye on this spot. As soon as the regular work force job is finished, I will be devoting my efforts full time to the book, and the non-profit organization www.riding4right.org. The future is looking very bright!
